JOSHUA DANIEL DUARTE - PRESENT PERFECT
The present perfect is more or less equivalent to the past perfect of Spanish. We will see the differences in the section on uses. In general, it is a mix between the present and the past. We use it for actions in the past that matter in the present. The present perfect in English is formed using 'has' or 'have' and the past participle of the verb. For example, "I have watched the movie" or "She has watched the movies."
-We have lived in this house for over twenty years.
-She has never been to Florida.
-I’m bored; I have seen this film a thousand times
-You have given up hope
-I’ve lost my keys.
-We have spoken about this issue in numerous occasions.
-Have you ever been to Poland?
-I’m not shocked, I have seen worse.
-Have you found what you were looking for?
-I don’t know if it will fit, I haven’t used that dress in ages.
